The Candle Lighting Ceremony is one of the most touching and memorable components of your Child's celebration. Written in rhyme or prose, I will individualize each poem to suit the person and tone you wish to convey.

The first time you saw me you burst into tears
Little did I know then, you’d be by me for years
You’d visit each weekend until I turned three
Mom and Dad would hit the movies and alone we would be
I moved to Chicago and you were quite sad
“We’re coming back East, Anne ” – never seen you so glad
As I grew older to New York I would go
To stay in your apartment, order in, see a show
Thanks to you I have learned to blow bubbles from gum
Talk in foreign accents, play the lotto for fun
With you life is crazy for rules you detest
You’re more like a kid – not adult like the rest
Let’s just have some fun, throw those rules out the door
Eat ice cream for breakfast for dinner there’s more!
This summer we vacationed, a first since I was small
Sailing through the Mediterranean, we had such a ball
You don’t need your own baby for I’m here now you see
I’m your favorite nephew and always will be
Your goal is to spoil and you do what I say
Cause you know you’ll be old soon – I’ll take care of YOU someday!
We don't see each other as much as we'd like
But talk on the phone sometimes hours each night
You'll always be there for me and it's you I adore
Aunt Anne please come up and light candle number 4!
